Buchan secure new Sparrows contract

Buchan Inspection Ltd has announced award of contract from Aberdeen-based Sparrows Offshore Services Limited to service and support the Chevron offshore assets in the UK North Sea.
Buchan Inspection, a subsidiary of Imes Ltd, has strengthened its position in the market in recent years with a number of contract awards from offshore oil & gas operators and marine contractors.
Cost management is one of the main features of Buchan Inspection's service proposition in the UK and overseas. The new contract will use Buchan's SmartCert certification database to increase visibility of quantities and condition of equipment and thereafter allow removal and dormancy of unused items. The service also enables clients to introduce written schemes of examination which creates the opportunity to save money by increasing the period between inspections based on measurement of risk.
